Our uniform consists of a sweatshirt and polo shirt which are ideal for pre-school activities. If you would like to order a uniform please ask a member of staff for an order form. We encourage children to gain the skills that help them to be independent and look after themselves, including taking themselves to the toilet and taking off, and putting on, outdoor clothes. We keep a record of each child’s ‘learning journey’ which helps us to celebrate together their achievements and to work together to provide what your child needs for their well-being and to make progress.


Typical sessions

Management + Staff

Hutton Pre-school is owned and managed by Janis Garlick and Sally Clark. Janis and Sally have managed Hutton Pre-school since 1999. The day to day running of the group is shared between them and other qualified staff. The staff are always ready and willing to talk with you about your ideas, views or questions. Welfare + Safeguarding

We encourage children to gain the skills to enable them to be independent and look after themselves, including taking themselves to the toilet and changing clothes for different activities. Children pour their own drink (milk or water) and help to prepare their own snack. Supervision, support and guidance is provided until they reach independence. We run a Baby and Toddler Groups on a Wednesday morning from 9.15am – 10.45am in Hutton Community Centre, Harrison Close, CM13 1LP.
